South Bruce Welcomes New Project Manager and Communications Officer

The Municipality of South Bruce Council is pleased to announce the hire of David Rushton and Steven Travale.

David Rushton will be taking on the role of the Project Manager for South Bruce related to the Adaptive Phased Management Project being implemented by the Nuclear Waste Management Organization.

David, has over 35 years of management experience including 8 years spent in municipal senior management positions. He brings with him a vast amount of experience and expertise in project development and community relations.

Steven Travale will be taking on the role of Communications/Public Relations Officer providing assistance to the Municipality to ensure communications are open and transparent.

Steven, has an Honours Bachelor of Social Science in Political Science with French Immersion from the University of Ottawa. He was the Constituency Assistant to MPP Lisa Thompson and Parliamentary Assistant to MP Ben Lobb.

“The council is very excited to welcome both David and Steven to their new positions with South Bruce,” said Mayor Robert Buckle. “We look forward to working with them and continue exploring the Adaptive Phase Management Project with the Nuclear Waste Management Organization.”

David and Steven will both be part of the team to help the Municipality of South Bruce continue to learn and evaluate the project related to the Nuclear Waste Management’s Adaptive Phased Management Project - Canada’s Plan for the long-term management of used nuclear fuel.

David Rushton officially began July 20, 2020 and Steven Travale will follow on July 27, 2020.
