Tax Payments can be made in person at the town office, 21 Gordon St E, Teeswater in the form of cash, cheque or by debit. On tax due dates, we will accept payments in person at the former Carrick Office, 169 Bruce County Rd #3 from 8:30am to 4:30pm, by cash or cheque only. Payments can also be mailed to PO Box 540, Teeswater ON N0G 2S0, by telephone or internet banking and at the Mildmay and Teeswater branches of the Bank of Montreal or any other Chrtered bank. Preauthorized payment is also available for your tax payment - see information below. There are drop boxes at the Municipal Office in Teeswater and the MAC's Store in Mildmay. Part payments are accepted. Penalty is calculated on the first day of default and late payments are applied to interest and penalty first.
If you are interested in equalized tax payments, please call Debra @ 519-392-6623 x224 or fill out a pre authorization form indicating your preference. These payments would be deducted monthly on the 15th, with the adjustment month being September in any given year. PAC Form
You may verify your eligiblility for the farm tax rate by calling OMAFRA at 1-800-469-2285. Your may verify your assessment tax class by calling MPAC (Assessment Office) at 1- 866-296-6722.
If your property becomes vacant in this taxation year you must apply to the Municipality for a rebate - forms are available at the Clerk’s Office.
If you have purchased a new property make sure that you have a copy of your tax bill and are aware of the due dates. If your bank is paying the taxes for you call our office to ensure that you have been set up for mortgage payments. Missing a due date results in a penalty charge.
These bills are sent out after the regular billing and represent a change to your property assessment. This change will be added to your tax bill the following year. These bills are forwarded directly to the property owner for payment. If you wish to make arrangements with your mortgage company that is the responsibility of the property owner.
