It is the responsibility of the owner or permit holder for ensuring that the required inspections are scheduled and completed prior to covering or continuing various stages of construction. Inspections can be booked by contacting Tracy with the Building Department at (519) 392-6623 or email@example.com If staff is unavailable and you are leaving a message requesting an inspection please provide the following;
• your name
• phone number
• project address
• permit number
• inspection required
We will return your call as soon as possible to confirm the requested inspection prior to proceeding.
The Building Department will attempt to accommodate your preferred inspection time as best as possible when booking inspections. To be able do so, please provide as much notice as possible. Inspections booked one business day in advance can usually be scheduled for the following business day. At times of high construction activity, notice of up to 48 hours may be necessary as required and outlined in the Ontario Building Code.
We highly recommend that inspections be scheduled in advance. If construction delays or unforeseen events occur such as inclement weather and you need to cancel a scheduled inspection, please contact us and we will gladly reschedule your inspection.
