PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT

The Parks and Recreation Department is seeking applications for one (1) post-secondary student to work in the Parks Department. This position will be approximately 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate must be willing to work in all-weather conditions and hold a valid "G" driver’s licence. Please note that this student position requires that the applicant be returning to school in the Fall.

IMPORTANT: Post secondary students - MUST indicate, on cover letter, the date of their Reading Week. (Interviews will try to be scheduled during these weeks).

RECREATION DEPARTMENT

The Recreation Department is seeking two (2) Pool Supervisors, for the Mildmay and Teeswater pools. This position is responsible for all employees and patrons of the facility and will provide adequate training, supervision and ensure a safe and healthy environment is maintained. Knowledge of pool operations, maintenance and pool health regulations are required.

The Recreation Department is seeking two (2) Head Guards, for the Mildmay and Teeswater pools.  This position will assist the Pool Supervisor in providing direction and supervision to employees and patrons and assist in ensuring that a safe and healthy aquatic environment is maintained. 

The Recreation Department is seeking nine (9) Full-Time Seasonal and one (1) Part-Time Seasonal Lifeguards/Instructors for the Mildmay and Teeswater pools. 

The Recreation Department is also seeking Youth Volunteers – “Leaders in Training”.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

The Municipality of South Bruce has two openings in the Public Works Department: one for a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Seasonal Summer Student and one for a Public Works Summer Labourer position.  These summer student positions will start in May 2020 to the end of August 2020. These positions report to the Manager of Operations and is located at 21 Gordon Street East, Teeswater, Ontario. The GIS student position and the Public Works labourer position will both be approximately 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate must be willing to work in all weather conditions and hold a valid “G2 or G” driver’s licence. Please note that these are student positions and must be returning to school full-time in the fall 2020.
