Livestock Valuers

The Municipality of South Bruce is seeking two (2) individuals to be appointed as the Municipality of South Bruce Valuer for the Ontario Wildlife Damage Compensation Program. A Municipal Valuer conducts a full investigation recording evidence of a livestock damage claim.

If you have a background in the agricultural industry, we invite you to consider serving as a Livestock-Valuer. Livestock-Valuers respond to the loss of Livestock Claims by farmers in the Municipality to determine the value of claim to be awarded, in consideration of the evidence presented, and submit a report to the Municipality for processing, in accordance with Livestock, Poultry and Honey Bee Protection Act. Livestock-Valuers receive an honorarium of $42.00 per call, plus mileage.

*The Municipality is willing to provide individuals with training related to this position if selected for the position.
